Not quite so spectacular as the publisher and the international news media claim.
February 8, 2021: 'Hitler's' toilet seat and lock of hair at US auction. The world press is going berserk - but are these items authentic? Update: toilet seat sold for $15,000 with no solid evidence for its authenticity.

The fact that the same auction house sold in 2017 a fake Hitler telephone for $243,000 doesn't seem to worry the media. Another strange episode in the history of the Hitler Forgery Industry.

It was raining fake Hitlers in 2020, 152 in total (and counting); already 17  fakes spotted in 2021.

But nobody seems to realize the disputed works (manuscripts, a postcard and sketches) offered by the Bavarian auction house Hermann Historica are probably forgeries.

New light on the "Huy Hitlers" - allegedly discovered in 1985 in a sealed box on a dusty attic in Belgium and offered in 1992 for sale to Yad Vashem - for one million guilders. In 2006 they were sold in England, for £118,000.

An American auction house hopes to sell a top hat and a frock coat, both allegedly once owned by Hitler, for more than 80,000 US dollars. The authenticity of this set is however highly questionable.
