The strange business of selling fakes, forgeries and other concoctions attributed to Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) and other Nazi criminals.

Introduction

In the direct post war period there was very little interest in objects or documents originating from or belonging to high ranking Nazi's. Cars excluded.

Eva Braun's car

Eva Braun's black eight-cylinder Horch convertible - a birthday present from Hitler - is now driving the streets of Tel Aviv and the roads of Israel. After the collapse of the Third Reich, the car was confiscated by the American authorities and given to British General Robertson, who took it to Sofia when he was appointed British representative to the Allied Control Commission in Bulgaria. After the commission was dissolved, the car passed into the hands of a foreign diplomat in Sofia, after which the vehicle was transferred to Sofia. When the diplomat left Israel for a new appointment, he sold the car to a resident of Tel Aviv.
