Droog Magazine periodical for investigative
journalism The strange business of selling fakes, forgeries and other concoctions attributed to Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) and other Nazi criminals. Introduction In
the direct post war period there was very little
interest in objects or documents originating from or
belonging to high ranking Nazi's. No fans for Hitler's table The large rosewood table, once one of the showpieces in Hitler's apartment, was withdrawn from an auction in Munich because no one would bid more than 50 marks. The conference table, which, along with many other unclaimed furniture, was after the war confiscated by the US military and is estimated to be worth 1,000 marks, will be handed over to the State of Bavaria because, under a decision of a denaziification court, all of Hitler's and Eva Braun's belongings are inherited by the State of Bavaria. (U.P.) 50 D-mark in 1950 would have the value of ca. 215 euro anno 2018. Geen liefhebbers voor Hitler's tafel.
